Portugal Information
All you need to know about Portugal
Historically, Portugal was at the center of the world’s longest-lasting colonial empire, spanning across the Americas, Africa, and Asia, leaving a profound cultural and linguistic legacy still visible in many countries today. Portugal remains influential on the global stage as a founding member of NATO, and a key member of international organizations such as the United Nations, European Union, OECD, and the Community of Portuguese Language Countries.
Portugal ranks highly in global surveys for freedom, social progress, prosperity, stability, and peacefulness. Its moderate Mediterranean climate, beautiful and diverse landscapes, preserved traditions, and strong economy make it a highly attractive destination for investors seeking permanent residency, which can eventually lead to full Portuguese citizenship.
